I've tried very hard to keep the start up phase of CUTweetTrack free from "opinions" (mine, that is). We wanted to initially provide you with a resource for tweeting CUs that would show everyone, who was doing what.
I'm excited we are quickly evolving the brand to a broader conversation. We now have this blog (thank you @jrwlay and crew) and soon we will be launching a private community...a safe place for CUs to exercise the real power of collaboration.
I have to tell you that my friend Jeffry Pilcher (@FinancialBrand ) put forth a "top ten" list that should be a must study for all Tweeting CUs. Check out 10 tweets you shouldn’t send (and why) . Thanks Jeffry! This should act as the foundation for many of those conversations in the future. Hope you will join us.
one more don't... CU's shouldn't try to publicly discuss strategy with each other. Use a DM. Think about it, you could be "blowing the cover" of a credit union whose strategy is to tweet through via the "voice" of a personality representing the credit union rather than in the company name!
